Perhaps he did not mention it because the bed is like a covering in it. "And above them are coverings." This means: coverings - the plural of [UNTRANSLATED-LATIN: ghashiyah] - that cover them from Hellfire. He explicitly stated this regarding the above because the covering may be on the right or left, or it could mean merely the arrival and perception. Perhaps he omitted the first because the verse is from [UNTRANSLATED-LATIN: ihtibak], so he mentioned Hellfire first as evidence for its intention second, and he mentioned above second as evidence for the intention of below first. And since some of them may not have the capacity for severance or connection, he said generally for all types of misguidance: "And likewise" means: and such is the recompense "We recompense the wrongdoers" so that it is known that the basis is on the description, and the criminal is the sinner, and his essence returns to severance, and the wrongdoer is the one who places something in its improper place, like the action of one who walks in the darkness. It is possible that He, glorified and exalted is He, indicated by the change of descriptions that they are interconnected. So whoever is a wrongdoer is bound to be a criminal, a liar, and arrogant, and vice versa.
