Commentary
And when He knew from this that He, glorified and exalted is He, is knowledgeable of the two types of the wrongdoer and the good, their outward and their inward, He stated the other category. He said, affirming for the sake of denying misguidance: "And indeed, we" meaning by what we have of greatness, "will certainly know" meaning with a great knowledge [encompassing] "that among you" O earthly ones, the lowly ones who do not have the capacity to elevate the souls from the dense attachments of the body, "are deniers" meaning deeply rooted in denial. So We sent down the books and sent the messengers so that there may appear from you to the world of testimony from it what We used to do in the past, unseen, of denial and faith, so that you may deserve by that punishment or reward. Therefore, it is necessary in the wisdom that no one denies and no one doubts that it is specific to the King, manifesting perfection, to return creation to what they were upon of their bodies before death, so that We may judge between them and reward each one in accordance with what is fitting for him, manifesting justice.
