Commentary
And when he confirmed the utmost degree of confirmation by what he said that the matter has reached a clarity that does not allow for any further confirmation, that was a confirmation by the absence of confirmation. He began the news regarding what he informed that he does not need to swear by the establishment of the tool of confirmation due to their denial, so that the speech would encompass both the confirmation by negation and the confirmation by affirmation. He said: "Indeed, this is what the Surah 'N' concluded with and indicated the Hour by what it brought forth from these methods, which, while being wise, are miraculous. "Certainly, it is the saying of a Messenger," meaning, I sent him, and from Me is the taking of it. There is nothing in it from his own accord; rather, it is all a very clear message. I bear witness to it by what it has of the miracle that testifies that it is My speech.
And when it is the nature of the Messenger to not convey except what his sender has sent him with, and some of the Messengers might add or omit either intentionally or out of forgetfulness, he informed that he has from the description what preserves it. He said: "Generous," meaning he is at the utmost degree of generosity, which is the distance from the vices of morals by manifesting its virtues for the honor of the soul and the honor of the ancestors. He neither increases nor decreases. The generosity of a thing is the gathering of the perfections that are fitting for it within it.
