And when he wished for these two things, he resumed his intention with them and said that he saw what he would face as worse than what he was in from the barrier: "Oh, I wish that the death which is the decisive one had been." That is, the one that is definitive, conclusive, and obligating for the continuity of the final death upon it, so that there would be no resurrection after it nor anything other than death, as I used to believe in the world; the Imam al-Razi said: And in the hadith, "Wish for death," meaning at that time, and there was nothing in the world that they hated more than it.
