And when he reached the end in warning the servants about the Day of Calling, they had two states: a specific one and a general one. The general state is the presentation, and the specific state is the division into the good-doer and the wrongdoer. He magnified it by saying: ﴿On that Day﴾ meaning when what has preceded occurs.

And when the horror is the essence of the presentation, he built his action for the object of the action, and because it is the speech of the able ones, he said: ﴿You will be presented﴾ meaning to Allah, glorified and exalted is He, for reckoning, just as a ruler presents the troops to examine their affairs to choose from them the one who is righteous for honor, proximity, and reward, and the one who is corrupt for distance, punishment, and affliction. He expressed reckoning by the presentation, which is part of it. The good-doer will have nothing other than that, and the wrongdoer will be discussed ﴿Nothing of you will be hidden﴾ meaning on that day from anyone in any way ﴿Nothing of you will be hidden﴾ meaning on that day from anyone [in any way -] ﴿Hidden﴾ meaning nothing at all will occur [in any state -] of the states that is hidden for something that should have been hidden in the world, neither from the deeds nor from the souls, even if it is in the utmost precision and obscurity, because that is the Day of complete manifestation from the graves and from the chests, and other matters, so that this may be greater for the happiness of whoever is happy, and more disgraceful for the misery of whoever is miserable and distant. Abu Musa, may Allah be pleased with him, said: It is three presentations. As for the two presentations, they are argument and excuses, and as for the third, at that time the records will be scattered, and he will take with his right hand and take with his left.
