And when the decree was: but He caught up with him by the blessing, so he was not to be blamed in his abandonment, it caused his saying: ﴿So He chose him﴾, meaning He selected him for His message ﴿his Lord﴾. Then it caused from his selection his saying: ﴿So He made him among the righteous﴾, meaning those who are firmly established in the rank of righteousness, so they became righteous in themselves for prophethood and messengership, and through them others became righteous. Thus, he abandoned the nakedness, which is praiseworthy. And whoever is more patient than his patience will have a greater reward than his reward. And you likewise, for you are the noblest of the workers and the scholars.
