And when he negated that they have from Him, glorified and exalted is He, any rational or transmitted evidence or a firm covenant regarding this precise arrangement and the most upright methodology, he followed it with what may come from others if there was a change regarding what they claimed, and he said: ﴿Or do they have partners﴾, meaning they legislated for them from the religion a matter and promised them with something upon which they established evidence as we established for our Prophet ﷺ. ﴿Then let them bring their partners﴾, meaning their sayings and actions as we came in support of our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ with both matters together without any doubt in it.
