Commentary

And when glorified is He, He negated from him ﷺ what they said, which they were obstinate about. So, he ﷺ was established with the perfection of intellect. The madman is one who does not have an action that is organized or a saying that is connected. Therefore, no one employs him in anything for which he would have a reward. He established for him the reward that necessitates intellect, so its proof is confirmed by the most judicious of judges in a manner more eloquent than what he would have stated explicitly. He said, in a manner of emphasis against their denial of him regarding what they claimed about him with falsehood: "And indeed, for you" meaning for what you have borne of the burdens of prophethood and for your patience with them regarding what they throw at you, and this is a consolation for him ﷺ. "A reward" and when he established for him what is associated with intellect and is suitable to be in this world and to be in the Hereafter, indicating with its tanween and what the context has made clear of praising him ﷺ for his greatness. And the reward does not necessarily entail permanence, and it may be a source of annoyance by a type of favor. He said: "not to be cut off" meaning neither diminished in your world nor in your Hereafter, nor for anyone among the people is there a favor upon you that he would mention as a means of blame and reproach. This is the clarification of happiness, and the reward is only for righteous deeds, and the deed has refined morals. Thus, it is a result of good morals and sound intellect.
