And when he completed a similar warning that the obedience of the obedient does not benefit the disobedient, even if he is the closest of people to the obedient, unless he has a foundation upon which the building is valid, and it is permissible to rely on it and look at it, he followed it with a similar good tidings that the disobedience of the disobedient does not harm the obedient. He said: ﴿And Allah has struck﴾ meaning the Most High King who has the attributes of perfection ﴿a parable for those who believe﴾ even if he is at the lowest degrees of faith, clarifying that the connection of the disbelievers, if it is under coercion and compulsion, does not harm. ﴿The wife of Pharaoh﴾ and her name is Asiya bint Muzahim, believed and did righteous deeds, so the connection with the disbeliever through the marriage, which is one of the greatest connections, did not harm her, nor did her faith benefit him. ﴿Every person is a pledge for what he has earned﴾ [Al-Tur: 21]. And her Lord, glorified is He, rewarded her by making her the wife of the best of His creation, Muhammad, blessings and peace be upon him, in the abode of His honor, due to her patience in the worship of Allah while she was in the clutches of His enemy. And He nullified his description of servitude as evidence of his humiliation and lack of mercy, for he is the most hostile of his enemies. And he indicated the point of similarity in the parable (p-211), which is the alignment with the party of Allah to the best of one's ability. [He said]: ﴿When﴾ meaning like them, like her when ﴿she said﴾ confirming the truth, calling out the call of the special ones by dropping the tool because she is a believer, even if she is under a disbeliever. Her companionship did not harm her at all due to her faith: ﴿My Lord﴾ meaning O You who have been good to me with guidance while I am in the clutches of this tyrannical disbeliever, and the glory of this worldly life and its abundance did not deceive me. ﴿Build for me﴾
And when the neighbor is sought - as they say - before the house, the best neighbor was sought, and the context was presented with concern for it due to its text on proximity and its indication of closeness. She said: ﴿With You a house﴾ and she specified her intention with the preposition indicating possession. She said: ﴿In Paradise﴾ because it is the abode of the close ones. It became clear from the beginning of her words and the end of them that what she sought was the most special of her house. And He, glorified is He, answered her by making her the wife of the seal of His Messenger, who is the best of His creation and the closest to Him, so she was with him in his abode, which is the highest of abodes.
And when she asked what would bring her closer to Allah, she asked what would distance her in both abodes from His enemies. She said: ﴿And save me﴾ meaning a great salvation ﴿from Pharaoh﴾ meaning that I should not be with him nor should he be able to harm me in Your sight ﴿and his deeds﴾ meaning that I should not act upon anything from him. ﴿And save me﴾ she repeated the worker for emphasis ﴿from the wrongdoing people﴾ meaning the strong people who are entrenched in placing their deeds in places other than those which they were commanded to place them in, like the action of one who walks in darkness generally, and they are the Copts. Do not mix with any of them. So Allah, glorified and exalted is He, answered her prayer and was good to her for the sake of her love for the beloved, which is Musa, blessings and peace be upon him. As it is said: The friend of my friend is included in my friendship. And that is because when Musa, blessings and peace be upon him, overcame the magicians, she believed in him, and Pharaoh punished her, and she died after Allah showed her her house in Paradise. And it did not harm her to be under Pharaoh at all because she was excused in that. The verse contains a figure of speech: the first part was omitted, "So she did not ask for Paradise" due to the indication of "My Lord, build for me". Secondly, the phrase "she was under a disbeliever" was omitted due to the indication of the first part.
