And when the lack of their wishing is a sign of his prophethood, blessings and peace be upon him, due to its agreement with what he informed them of, and that was the action of one who believes that wishing brings forward his appointed time and its absence delays it, they became between denying what they have and the end of ignorance. He, blessings and peace be upon him, commanded him to alert them to their ignorance as a reprimand for them, so he said: "Say" and emphasized informing them that it is necessary from their action to deny the death that no one denies. So he said: "Indeed, death" and he increased in reproach and rebuke by saying: "which you flee from," meaning by refraining from wishing, which is the easiest thing, while it leads you to deny the one you are striving to deny. And he confirmed its occurrence with them because their action is the action of one who denies it, and he linked it with 'fa' making their fleeing a cause for it. For indeed, cowardice is one of the causes of death, along with what it earns of disgrace, as he said: "Indeed, the coward's death is from above him," meaning it predominates over him, the superiority of the high over the low. So he said: "For indeed, it will meet you," meaning it will reach you in every path you take, whether outwardly or inwardly.
And when the confinement in the Barzakh is a matter - although it is inevitable - terrifying, he alerted to it and to its length with a tool of delay, so he said: "Then you will be returned" and he alerted with the passive form regarding its overpowering from Him, glorified and exalted is He, and their humiliation, and that it is with Him in utmost ease: "to the Knower of the Unseen," which is everything that is hidden from the servants, for He is informing about your morals from knowledge. And when some of the philosophers acknowledge His knowledge, exalted is He, of the universals, and deny His knowledge of the particulars, he said: "and the testimony," which is everything that has appeared and become specific, even if it is for one of the creation before its existence and after its existence. And when the stopping regarding deeds is terrifying and alarming, he said, causing from the response: "so He will inform you," meaning He will inform you with a great, thorough, and comprehensive informing: "of what you were," meaning of what is for you like your nature: "you do," meaning with every part of it, from what has appeared outwardly and from what was in your natures, and if you had met it, you would have known it to reward you for it.
