And when what he dislikes became great after what he ignited with the glorification of the non-intelligent, the intelligent is worthy of asking about what he loves in order to glorify it with it. He mentioned the ultimate goal, which is a comprehensive one for all that came before it from the virtues, affirming that the address is with one who is deficient or is in his judgment: ﴿Indeed, Allah﴾, meaning the One who has all the attributes of perfection, ﴿loves﴾, meaning He acts with the action of the lover towards ﴿those who fight﴾, meaning they engage in fighting ﴿in His cause﴾, meaning due to facilitating His path that leads to His pleasure, engaging in a commendable manner for the path. Nothing of it is like something outside of it. They fight the enemies of the religion from the devils with the remembrance of the heart and the tongue, and the human with the sword and the spear ﴿in rows﴾, meaning they are lined up as if they are united in intention with one heart, just as they were equal in lining up like a single body.

And when the lining up is true with slight advancement and delay, he negated that with his saying, state after state: ﴿As if they﴾, meaning from the intensity of their closeness and equality in their chests and shoulders and their steadfastness in their positions ﴿is a building﴾. And he increased in affirmation with his saying: ﴿firmly compacted﴾, meaning of great connection, intensely fortified, as if it were built with lead, so there is no gap in it nor flaw. For whoever is like this is worthy that nothing of his actions contradicts anything of his words. Thus, the compacting indicates the unity of hearts and intentions in supporting Allah and opposing whoever opposes Him, resulting in the alignment of the rows in prayer, which is the warfare against the devil, and the war which is the confrontation of his party, the foremost of tyranny, and the actions which are the fruits of the bodies.
