And when they were acknowledging that the doer of that is Allah, but they were denying His favor, they were counted as deniers. So He commanded him to respond without waiting for their response by saying: "Say: Allah"; meaning: the One who has all greatness. "Will save you from it"; meaning: from that hardship, "and from every distress"; meaning: that you have fallen into. And how great is the position of His saying: "Then you"; with the commitment to sincerity at the time of distress and with the commitment to gratitude. "You associate partners"; indicating the improbability of their denial with the tool of delay, along with what is in it of the similarity to what should have been for them, that they should be grateful.
