'And your sight' means: He has made you deaf and blind, both outwardly and inwardly, by depriving you of benefit. 'And He has sealed upon your hearts' so that they do not comprehend at all, or do not benefit from comprehension. 'Who is a god?' meaning: a deity in truth; for He has encompassed knowledge and power. Then he described this news by saying: 'Other than Allah' meaning: the One who possesses all greatness. 'Will come to you with it' meaning: with that which is the noblest of meanings of your noblest faculties, or with something of it.

And when these verses reached - in conveying the message regarding His oneness and the invalidity of every deity besides Him - the highest ranks... He pointed out that He is upon that, by commanding reflection upon them and their state thereafter, indicating what has preceded from the fact that the suggestions do not benefit anyone who desires - glorified is He - their misery.
