Commentary

And when it was informed that their affair is only to Him, it was as if it was said: So what will He do with them then? It was answered by His saying: ﴿Whoever comes﴾ meaning: from them or from others ﴿with a good deed﴾ meaning: the complete one based on faith ﴿for him﴾ from the good deeds ﴿is ten times like it﴾ as a generosity, kindness, and grace, He rewards him with that in this world or in the Hereafter. And this is established for everyone, and some will increase in clarity according to their intentions. And He mentioned the ten; because it is in the meaning of the good deed, and it is added to its pronoun. And when His saying: ﴿And give full measure and weight in justice﴾ [Al-An'am: 152] included with His follow-up saying: ﴿We do not burden a soul except according to its capacity﴾ [Al-An'am: 152] indicates that equality in recompense is something that the necks of creation are cut off from it - He informed that this is easy for Him because His action is comprehensive and His ability is complete by His saying: (p-337) ﴿And whoever comes with an evil deed﴾ meaning: anything of this kind ﴿will not be recompensed﴾ meaning: in both abodes ﴿except for its like﴾ [if he is recompensed, and He forgives much].

And when the equivalence does not necessitate being from every aspect, even if it is apparent in that, especially in this expression, He stated what is apparent because it is more pleasing to the soul and more calming to the heart - He said: ﴿And they will not be wronged﴾ meaning: by being like it in the unit, even if it is greater or of a kind that is more severe than its kind, and so on. Rather, the equivalence exists in quantity and quality, so no one is diminished in reward nor increased in punishment.
