And when the act that is prohibited may not be punished, he said, teaching that the opposition in this is among the most severe oppositions. Its possessor deserves the greatest vengeance. All of this is to wean them off the desire for it. He confirmed this for that reason and for their denial of its content: "Say, indeed I..." And when the situation is one of fear, he presented it and said: "I fear if I disobey..." What is it that you want from me to agree with you in what I have been commanded or prohibited from? "My Lord," meaning: the One who is gracious to me, "the punishment of a day." And when the greatness of the circumstance is due to the greatness of what it contains, he said: "great."
