And when the evidence became illuminated like the sun and the proofs stood firm until there remained no type of confusion at all, the news spread about what they had witnessed and other matters. He said, mentioning time after place, and he preceded it because it is more evident. The complete knowledge is that which begins with the most evident and progresses to the more hidden. Thus, the news was completed about time and temporal matters, and place and spatial matters: ﴿And to Him﴾ meaning: alone ﴿belongs what resides﴾ meaning: settles, occupies, and exists ﴿in the night and the day﴾ meaning: there is nothing of its nature that resides in them, even if it is moving. However, he expressed that without movement because it is the abode of death. And included in that are light and darkness, which those who associate partners have associated with Him.

And when what has passed indicated the complete power, and it was divided into moving and stationary, and the power cannot be complete except with knowledge, it indicated this by His saying: ﴿And He is﴾ meaning: no one other than Him ﴿the Hearing﴾ meaning: the one who perfectly hears every moving thing ﴿the Knowing﴾ meaning: the one who has comprehensive knowledge of sight, hearing, and other matters of every moving and every stationary thing from your words and actions and others. So do not hope that anything from your deeds will be left unaccounted for. And the Knowing here is more profound than the Seeing, and that is similar to what has preceded in His saying: ﴿Say, do you worship besides Allah that which cannot possess for you harm or benefit, while Allah is the Hearing, the Knowing﴾ [Al-Ma'idah: 76]. And it translates to His saying: ﴿He knows your secret and your open, and He knows what you earn﴾ [Al-An'am: 3].
