Commentary
And when charity is like the seed that has been mentioned, that Allah, glorified and exalted is He, brings it to life and multiplies it many times according to the purity of the land, he means by saying what defines (p-283) that one of the greatest indications of the sincere humility being urged and the distance from the state of those who were given the Book in hardness is the charity by spending, which he has associated at the beginning with faith. He has urged it in many of its verses as a reminder that it is its fruit that cannot be separated from it, expressing it in a way that guides to the fact that it is the confirmer of his claim. He has emphasized it for those who doubt the resurrection from denying the blessing of charity, whether quickly or eventually, being tied to the tangible: "Indeed, those who give charity" meaning those who are deeply rooted in this description among men, "and those who give charity" meaning among women with their wealth to the weak, whose giving indicates the sincerity of faith because the giver does not expect any worldly benefit from it. And perhaps he has alluded to concealing the charities, and the reading of [Ubayy] may Allah be pleased with him with the manifestation guides to increasing charity until it becomes apparent. The reading of Ibn Kathir and Abu Bakr from Asim with the lightening indicates, along with that, the confirmation of faith, so each of the readings indicates both of them, and from the detail by mentioning the two types, the intensity of concern is known.
And when the form of تفاعل indicates effort in urging the self to become accustomed to that until it becomes a trait in the utmost ease for it, he said, connecting to the relative clause in the active participle, expressing in the past after clarifying the description of stability as an indication of the occurrence of the action, connecting to what the position of the masculine pronoun indicates, favoring those who have confirmed their faith by giving charity: "And they lend Allah" (p-284) who has all perfection by their confirmation, whether they are from the males or females, and their spending in all that they have been urged to spend in. And he has emphasized and described by saying: "A good loan" meaning to the utmost of what can be from the goodness of the soul and the sincerity of intention in charity and spending in the way of good. The goodness is that he diverts his gaze to the act and distinguishes himself with it and seeks a reward for it. Al-Razi said: "It is multiplied" meaning that loan "for them" and they are rewarded according to that multiplication because the one for whom the loan is given, glorified is He, is forbearing and generous and does not accept in goodness except with excellence. And he emphasized in the reading of Ibn Kathir, Ibn Amir, and Abu Ja'far [and Ya'qub] an indication of the exaggeration in the multiplication. And he expressed by the mutual action in the reading of the majority to indicate that this multiplication is something that must exist, and that he has acted in it like one who competes with another and strives against him. And he built for the passive to indicate the magnificent greatness that necessarily arises from it being in the utmost ease. "And for them" meaning with the multiplication "is a noble reward" meaning there is no distress in it from interruption or scarcity or increase in any way at all.
