Commentary

﴿So there is comfort﴾ [meaning] for him is rest and the mercy of what revives him from the breeze of [the wind]. The meaning of the reading of Ya'qub with the dammah is tranquility in the heart and peace and a life with no death after it. ﴿And a bountiful provision﴾ meaning a great sustenance and a beautiful, delightful plant and fragrant flowers.

And when he mentioned this pleasure, he mentioned what gathers it and others, so he said: 'And gardens' meaning a garden that includes fruits and fragrant plants and what comes from them and what is produced by them. (p-246) And since the gardens of this world may contain distress, he added [this garden] to what is intended by these gardens, informing that it does not cease from it, so he said: ﴿of bliss﴾ meaning there is nothing else in it, but it is exclusive to it.
