And when the answer was: You alone did that, due to Your richness from creation with what You have of mercy and perfection of essence and attributes, He said, reminding of another blessing: "If We wished" meaning: at the time of its descent and its distance before it could be benefited from. And when the state of water becoming [salty] is more than the state of plants becoming debris, He did not emphasize that and to indicate that the listeners, when the pause was upon the completeness of ability, became in the realm of those who acknowledge. So He said, the Exalted: "We made it" meaning: by what the attributes of greatness necessitate, "salty" meaning: bitter, burning salt, as if in the insides there is the flame of a raging fire that does not cool thirst nor brings forth a plant that can be benefited from. And when this is something that cannot be denied, He caused it to be said in a manner of denial and urging: "So why do you not give thanks?" meaning: so why do you not renew the thanks in a manner of continuity by using what that has provided you of strength in the obedience of the One who created it for you and enabled you from it and made it suitable for your natures, desired by your souls, beneficial for you in all that you see.
