Commentary
And when women were called 'beds', Allah, the Most High, said, returning the pronoun to something other than what comes to mind from the apparent meaning by way of usage, confirming for the sake of denying those who deny resurrection: 'Indeed, we' meaning by what we have of power and greatness which nothing can surpass. 'Created them' meaning the beds which we mean by women from the people of this world after death, even if it is from old age and incapacity by resurrection. And He increased in emphasis and said: 'Creation' meaning without birth, rather we gathered them from the dust as we did with all those who are accountable so that they may be like their father Adam, blessings and peace be upon him, in his creation from dust. Thus, the resurrection will be like the beginning. And for this reason, everyone upon entering Paradise will be in the form of him, blessings and peace be upon him. And it is permissible that what is meant by them is the houris, and it will be a creation that has not previously existed.
