Commentary
And when he expressed about them with what he understood that they are the people of strength and seriousness in actions, and the blessing in gathering states, he mentioned their living beginning with fruits because the living of Paradise is all enjoyment. He mentioned from it what grows in the lands of the Arabs without any effort of planting or service. He indicated the abundance of what he mentions by making it their context. He said without mentioning the throne of kingship which He bestowed upon those close to the king. He did not add to that the food and what accompanies it that can be imagined for the animals: ﴿In sidr﴾ meaning the tree of lote that has branches hanging down due to its heavy load, from the meaning of 'sadra' - when it hangs down. ﴿Makhduod﴾ meaning it is without thorns and without bitterness to the extent that its branches bend down due to the heavy load, from 'khada' - to cut the thorn, and the branch: to bend it while it is fresh. In mentioning this, there is a reminder that everything which has no benefit in it or in it is a type of harm has a noble existence in Paradise because Paradise was created for bliss.
