'So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?' This refers to the complete blessings of the One who is full of kindness [to you]. 'You both deny' the blessing of taste, whether from the left side or from elsewhere, from whom He made an example for the creation of women, children, clothing, and adornments from the fruits of trees and crops that come from the waters by which there is life. In it is the giving of birth and other things that the mind reveals to the people of reflection, for indeed all that is in Paradise originates from the word of provision, just as it originates from Him, glorified and exalted is He, in this abode based on causation... and wisdom.
