And when what has preceded of the description of the one who enjoys them with honor and beauty has been indicated, it has been added in a way that conveys that they will be the utmost of what can be from the tranquility of the soul, the strength of the heart, the vigor of the body, the balance of the blood, and other characteristics with which they have been compared. It was said: "They are like rubies," which in its clarity is such that it reveals its silk, and it is a known jewel. It was said in the dictionary: The best of it is the red pomegranate, beneficial for whispers, palpitations, and weakness of the heart when consumed, and for the stagnation of the blood when applied. And "the corals" in its whiteness, and the small pearls are whiter. Abu Abdullah the furrier said: The corals are the small pearls, and this which comes from the plants of the sea is known to be red. It has been concluded that their colors, white and red, are of a kind of infusion that is in the utmost admiration for its clarity and purity, and it is with that stable and does not undergo change to correspond with the hadith in which it is stated: "The marrow of her shank will be seen through seventy garments." And Abu Hayyan said: He compared them to these in what is fitting for comparison, for the ruby in its clarity and purity, and the coral in its clarity and the beauty of its appearance.
