And when this is something that has not been customary in general, although it has been extended by its occurrence in some matters in various places like many individuals, He clarified its timing for them by saying: ﴿So when﴾ meaning: this sending will cause that when ﴿the heaven is split﴾ from its terror and greatness, it will be doors for the descent of the angels and others, and other signs of Allah. ﴿So it will be﴾ for what it will experience from the heat ﴿a rose﴾ meaning: a bright red from the intensity of its flame. And Al-Baghawi said: like the color of the reddish horse which is the white that has a tinge of redness and yellowness.

﴿Like paint﴾ meaning: melted and clear like the thing with which one paints or like the red leather and the slippery place. And the sign of that in the world is the redness at sunrise and sunset. And the response to 'when' is omitted, its estimation is: you have known that with a witnessing knowledge or how great the terror is at that time. And it is similar to that the response should be something indicated by the forthcoming verses like: then no one will ask at that time about their sin. And its omission is more magnificent so that the imagination may go in every direction.
