Commentary
And when the evidence was completed regarding the encompassing nature of the power over what was witnessed of the tremendous actions that no power other than Him can encompass, glorified and exalted is He, they used to think that His conditions were not regulated because they could not be regulated, nor could the knowledge of any scholar encompass them, especially if he claimed that He is One. He began to complete the report of the greatness of the power by informing that all their actions are recorded, in addition to being preserved. He said: "And everything they did," meaning the associates, at any time it may be, is recorded. "In the books," meaning the books of the recorders, so let them beware of their actions, for they are not forgotten. This is what the readers have agreed upon regarding this meaning of raising "everything," for if it were in the accusative case, it would imply the connection of the preposition with the action, suggesting that they did everything in the books, which is incorrect.
