Commentary
On the Day, meaning: on that promised day, they will be dragged, meaning: at the hour, always in the easiest manner of humiliation for them by any dragger. In the fire, meaning: the complete fire. On their faces, because they are in the utmost state of humiliation and disgrace as a recompense for what they used to humiliate the allies of Allah, glorified and exalted is He, with a saying from any speaker who agrees: "Taste," meaning: because they have no protection or pride at all. What has touched Sakar, meaning: the direct pain of the fiery layer that scorches with its heat, so it shows on the body and melts it, causing its fat to flow... and the juice, just as the syrup flows from dates and the juice of fresh dates, so the palm tree is called by that a misqar.
