Commentary
And when He urged towards prostration, He explained it as a result of the questioning and its inclusion by His saying: "So prostrate" meaning submit with much submission through the prostration that is in prayer "to Allah" meaning the Greatest King "and worship" meaning with all types of worship. For indeed, "Your companion has not gone astray" [An-Najm: 2] regarding the command of that "and he has not erred" [An-Najm: 2]. Al-Razi said in Al-Lawa'ih: Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Tirmidhi said: Our Lord has commanded us to worship Him sincerely as if we are servants to Him, and He is for His servants as He is for them - this has ended. And if prostration meant amusement, it would have been more appropriate to precede it with "you weep" - and Allah knows best. And it has become clear that its end is the result of its beginning, and its detailed explanation is the fruit of its connection - and Allah is the Guide.
