'So He covered it' means He followed it with what covered it, so it was to it like a covering. And He made it terrifying by His saying: 'What covered' means a great matter of stones and others that the minds cannot describe. And what He mentioned, glorified and exalted is He, in the scriptures includes a clarification of what benefits from deeds and what harms, and a clarification of the oneness of Allah, glorified and exalted is He, with His encompassing knowledge of the ends, after which there is no end, in knowledge and ability, for His specificity in clarifying the creations and in clarifying the resurrection, for the purpose of frightening with the inevitable end and the destruction of the apostates, for the purpose of frightening with the immediate end for whoever has a heart that is hardened against the penetration into the inevitable end.
