Commentary

And when death and life are the greatest opposites of what has passed, the ability to bring them into existence in a single person is the greatest it can be. It is possible that it is attributed to one who kills, or heals from an illness, or releases one who must be killed. He affirmed and said: ﴿And indeed, He﴾ meaning no one else. And when the covering in death is greater, and death is more suitable for weeping, and life is more suitable for laughter, and the way of the confused resurrection is more eloquent, He presented it and said: ﴿He caused death and brought to life﴾. And if you see apparent causes, there is no consideration of them in the matter itself; rather, it is He who created them.
