Commentary
And when the vision of deeds does not cut off by the vision of those who rely on it from the angels or others whom Allah has established for that, and the seer, the more he sees, the more terrifying the matter becomes, and the vision of the Greatest King is the most frightening. He said, emphasizing on "no bearer of burdens" by clarifying with the letters of the ultimate that the seers of deeds are many due to the multitude of His soldiers, glorified is He: "And indeed to your Lord is the final destination," meaning the Benefactor to you and no one else. "The end" refers to the return of the creatures, physically by resurrection and meaningfully by deeds and knowledge, and the assignment of matters and the sending of hopes, and the place of their return and its time as it was from Him the beginning. This was confirmed by the creation of all of that and the reckoning upon it. Al-Baghawi narrated through Abu Ja'far al-Razi from Ubayy ibn Ka'b, may Allah be pleased with him, from the Prophet, blessings and peace be upon him, regarding this verse, he said, "There is no contemplation in the Lord." He said: And similar to this was narrated from Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, as a raised narration: "Contemplate the creation and do not contemplate the Creator, for thought cannot encompass Him." And it was narrated by Abu Nu'aym in al-Hilyah from Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with both of them: "Do not contemplate Allah, for you will not be able to comprehend His greatness." This is the intended meaning and it is clear. So whoever interprets the verse with union or anything else from heresy, upon him is the curse of Allah and upon the one who defends him and the one who remains silent about him.
