Commentary
And when the feared consequence is the recompense in general, not from a specific recompenser, He said: ﴿Then he will be recompensed﴾. And when in this world there may occur leniency regarding some matters and negligence regarding others, He said: ﴿The complete recompense﴾, meaning the most complete sin. If it is good, then with multiplication, and if it is otherwise, then equally for whoever Allah intends that for him and pardons much. However, it is a reminder for him.
