And when the foolish may think that the actions of others benefit him, he expressed this, combining admonition and exaggeration, by saying: ﴿Or has he not been informed﴾ meaning he has been informed with a great and continuous informing ﴿of what is in the scriptures of Moses﴾ meaning the Torah attributed to him by its being revealed to him, and likewise what follows it from the books of the prophets who came after him confirming it.
