Commentary
And when the occurrence of the punishment was established, the soul of the believer longed for its time. He said, resuming to clarify that it is indeed occurring in that manner: "On the Day when it will sway." This means it will move, shake, come, go, and sway like a ship sways. It will revolve like a millstone, and some of it will surge into others. Its parts will differ among themselves, yet it will not move from its place. Al-Baghawi said: The term 'mowr' encompasses these meanings; in language, it refers to going, coming, wavering, revolving, and shaking. Al-Razi said: It is said that it will come and go like smoke, then it will fade away.
"The sky" which is the ceiling of your house, "will sway" meaning it will shake violently.
