﴿They are enjoying﴾ meaning they are amazed and delighted ﴿by what their Lord has given them﴾ who has taken care of their upbringing through their good deeds and obedience until He has brought them to this bliss. For His greatness is such that the essence of His description cannot be reached. And since the one who enjoys may have his enjoyment after punishment, it has been clarified that they are not like that, so He said: ﴿And He protected them﴾ meaning before that ﴿their Lord﴾ meaning the One who bestows favor upon them by keeping them away from sins and impurities ﴿from the punishment of Hell﴾ meaning the intense fire.
