And when the time of their warning and what pertains to the recompense on the Day of Resurrection was due, and they were denying it, He said: "And indeed, the religion" means: the recompense for everyone according to what they have earned on the Day of (p-449) resurrection, and the legislation with which I sent this noble Prophet "is bound to occur" without a doubt, even if you deny that. So, His religion will prevail over all other religions, as He promised in that. Then we will establish all people for reckoning.

And Imam Abu Ja'far ibn al-Zubayr said in his proof: When He, glorified and exalted is He, mentioned the otherworldly promises in Surah "Q" and the greatness of those states from the time of His saying: ﴿And the agony of death came in truth﴾ [Q: 19] to the end of the Surah, He followed that with an oath regarding its occurrence and truthfulness, saying: ﴿By those that scatter [the wind]﴾ [adh-Dhariyat: 1] [to] His saying: ﴿Indeed, what you are promised is true﴾ [adh-Dhariyat: 5] ﴿And indeed, the Day of Judgment will occur﴾ and the Day of Judgment is the recompense, meaning that they will be rewarded for what they did and will be given their due share of their deeds ﴿And do not think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do﴾ [Ibrahim: 42] ﴿We only delay them so that they may increase in sin﴾ [Al-Imran: 178] And when Allah swore by the truth of His promise and the occurrence of the recompense, He followed that with their denial of the recompense and their disdain, saying: ﴿They ask, When is the Day of Judgment?﴾ [adh-Dhariyat: 12] Then He, the Exalted, mentioned the state of the two groups and the end of the two paths to His saying: ﴿And in the earth are signs for the certain﴾ [adh-Dhariyat: 20] So He, the Exalted, reprimanded those who did not use their intellect or broaden their vision regarding what He, glorified and exalted is He, placed in the world of wonders. He followed that with mentions of signs regarding the states of nations and what followed their denial. All of this is a reminder to broaden one's vision to His saying: ﴿And of everything We created﴾ [adh-Dhariyat: 49] with His saying: ﴿Thus, no messenger came to those before them except that they said, A magician or a madman﴾ [adh-Dhariyat: 52] meaning: This is their habit and custom until it is as if they have made a pact on it and some of them conveyed it to others. So He, the Exalted, said: ﴿Did they advise each other to do this? Rather, they are a rebellious people﴾ [adh-Dhariyat: 53] meaning: Amazement at them for their persistence in denial and corruption in one arena. Then He, the Exalted, said: ﴿Rather, they are a rebellious people﴾ [adh-Dhariyat: 53] meaning that the reason for their denial is that which has united and thus its cause has united. The cause is their rebellion and the darkness of their hearts due to what has preceded ﴿And if We had willed, We could have given every soul its guidance﴾ [As-Sajda: 13] Then His Prophet, blessings and peace be upon him, added some things that came in accordance with his method of choice in their matter from His saying: ﴿So turn away from them, for you are not to be blamed﴾ [adh-Dhariyat: 54] Then He, the Exalted, indicated with His saying: ﴿And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers﴾ [adh-Dhariyat: 55] that the attainment of his reward, blessings and peace be upon him, is only in the reminder and calling to Allah, the Exalted. Then Allah benefits thereby whomever has been destined for happiness ﴿Indeed, only those who listen will respond﴾ [Al-An'am: 36] Then He informed His Prophet, blessings and peace be upon him, that their denial will bring them a share and portion of what has befallen others who committed their deeds and followed their path. So He, the Exalted, said: ﴿So indeed, for those who have wronged are sins like the sins of their companions﴾ [adh-Dhariyat: 59] to the end of the Surah. It has ended.
