Commentary

And when the ultimate purpose of the clouds is to prepare for rain, he means by saying: "So the bearing ones" that is: from the clouds which the wind has dispersed from their origin, which is the vapor, and it has carried it in the air towards the height, then it has gathered it, so it became a cloud, and Allah has spread it with the coming together, and He has carried what He has willed in it of water, lightning, and others.

"A burden" that is: a heavy load, and before that, nothing of it or of its load was seen. So realize the power of Allah over all that He wills, even if you do not see its causes, and let not the deceiver deceive you concerning Allah.
