Commentary
For them, in their outward and inward states, is what they desire. This means their will is renewed or their will is made possible for them in it, meaning in Paradise. And with Us, there are matters that are extremely strange to them, even though everything they have is strange. More, meaning that which does not fall under their imaginations, they will desire it. For the context of gratitude indicates that its tanween is for glorification, and the expression by 'with Us' confirms that in a way that is appropriate for them; so that they are in increase every moment beyond their wishes, contrary to what they were in the world. Thus, their knowledge increases, for the decrees of Allah are not limited; because His knowledge does not end.
