And when all times are present with Him, glorified is He, He expressed this in explaining that with "what" which is for the present, not "no" which is for the future. So He said: ﴿What is changed﴾ meaning: is changed from a changer [what was] was in a way such that a substitute is made for it, and there is a contradiction in it. ﴿The saying is with Me﴾ meaning: the one reaching you from My presence, which cannot be encompassed by the matter of its strangeness, that whoever associates with Me, I do not forgive him, and I forgive what is less than that for whom I will. And the pardon of some sinners is not a change; because the signs of pardon indicate the specification of the warning, and that it is conditional upon conditions. ﴿And I am not﴾ and He emphasized the negation by saying: ﴿with darkness﴾ meaning: with injustice ﴿for the servants﴾ not the companion nor the one who has led him astray nor others. So I punish whoever does not deserve or I pardon whom I said: Indeed, I do not forgive him, and I commanded My soldiers to oppose him in Me. And if I had pardoned him, I would have, with the change of the saying, wronged them by honoring whom they opposed in Me, and it is nothing but that.
