Commentary
The one who made disbelief multiplied and obstinate, and a prevention of the good that is obligatory upon him in his heart, his tongue, and his body. And a transgression of the limits, entering into doubt and causing others to enter into it with Allah, meaning: the one who has complete knowledge of all attributes of perfection. His matter is not hidden from anyone with intellect, a god.
And when it was that perhaps a stubborn person would insist, he revealed the verse concerning one who calls upon Allah by other than this greatest name. He clarified the intended meaning by saying: another. And he added that the speech is taken from the delay that looks to the disgrace and the fall from the consideration of the entirety.
And when this one has denied the truth that is obligatory for Allah due to His essence, regardless of everything else, then what is obligatory for Him from the perspective of His lordship and His grace upon every existent, and then from the perspective of the continuity of His kindness despite the disobedience with forbearance. He obstinately denied this and in affirming it for others what is not correct for him in any way, this caused his description to be: 'So throw him into the punishment,' meaning: that which removes all sweetness of the severe punishment.
