And when Allah, glorified and exalted is He, has appointed guardians to preserve our deeds and regulate our words and states, it is well known to us that the reason for this preservation is the fear of negligence and forgetfulness. Allah, glorified and exalted is He, has preceded the news of the completeness of His knowledge, so that this danger is secured. It is related to what is closest, or we know His saying as a confirmation of what is known of the encompassing nature of His knowledge, that He has no need. And He frightens us with what is closer to our familiarity: 'When' meaning: at the time 'he receives' meaning: with utmost diligence, vigilance, and consideration from every person We have created and brought forth into this existence. 'The two receivers' and what do you know what they are? They are two great angels, while they are 'on the right' of every person [one is seated from them] 'and on the left' likewise 'seated' meaning: seats have been assigned and reserved for that person with the most eloquent seating. And we are closer to them and have more knowledge. And indeed, We have appointed them to establish the proof with them against the courses of your habits and other such wisdom.
