Commentary
And when it was among the ends for those who reach the presence of holiness; and the places of intimacy with Allah; those who are firmly established in the degree of being independent of any chosen doer who does not intend except what He intends - glorified and exalted is He -; if it is obedience that the servant intends; and he is pleased with it; and if it is disobedience that he intends in that it is the will of Allah; and he does not please it due to it being disobedience; then he is pleased with the decree; without the decreed; and as if it were possible that Habil had been revealed to him that it had been preordained in the knowledge of Allah that his brother would kill him; he said - warning him; justifying with another justification; also deterring him from proceeding to kill -: "Indeed, I intend"; meaning: by not opposing you; "that you bear"; meaning: return from killing me; if you kill me; "with my sin"; meaning: the sin that will befall you due to your killing me; and with its punishment - which among its components is that it will cast upon you from my sins in proportion to what is due to me from your rights; if you do not find what satisfies me with good deeds -; "and your sin"; meaning: that for which I have no cause; and it is what was the cause for the rejection of your offering; and your transgression against me; and I will gain my reward and your reward; meaning: my reward for which you have no cause; and the reward that my submission to you has yielded; and my withholding my hand from you; "so you will be"; meaning: you; because of that; "among the companions of the Fire"; meaning: those who are eternally in it; as a recompense for your injustice; by placing the killing in the wrong place; then it was made clear that this encompasses everyone who does this act; so he said: "And that is the recompense of the wrongdoers"; meaning: those firmly established in the description of all injustice; and I will be among the companions of Paradise; as a recompense for my goodness in preferring your life over my life; and that is the recompense of the doers of good; and this - like wishing for martyrdom in evil - is not necessarily indicative of the intention of disobedience; in that it is disobedience; by intending the appearance of the disbelievers; for it is known that victory is in the hands of Allah; for He is capable of granting victory to the remaining ones; after the martyrdom of the martyr.
