And when He, glorified and exalted is He, informed of the victory following the Surah 'Those Who Disbelieved' as a glad tidings of the appearance of the people of this religion and the retreat of the disbelievers - as will come in the explanation of Surah Al-Nasr with Surah Al-Kafirun - for this reason, He explained [the victory] with forgiveness and what follows it as a symbol of the Prophet's ﷺ passing - my soul is a ransom for him and my father and mother - and an indication that the intended purpose of his being taken to the abode of annihilation is to manifest the true religion and to obliterate falsehood so that its rank may be elevated and its status may be magnified. And when their guidance was from His guidance, He, glorified and exalted is He, attributed it to Himself to inform him that it is a guidance that is suitable for His noble side, bringing him joy. So He said: ﴿And He will guide you﴾ meaning: with the guidance of all your people ﴿to a straight path﴾ meaning: clear, noble, manifest, leading to the intended goal of a Book in which there is no deviation whatsoever, a guidance that necessitates adhering to it and remaining steadfast upon it.
