فَٱصۡبِرۡ كَمَا صَبَرَ أُوْلُواْ ٱلۡعَزۡمِ مِنَ ٱلرُّسُلِ وَلَا تَسۡتَعۡجِل لَّهُمۡۚ كَأَنَّهُمۡ يَوۡمَ يَرَوۡنَ مَا يُوعَدُونَ لَمۡ يَلۡبَثُوٓاْ إِلَّا سَاعَةٗ مِّن نَّهَارِۭۚ بَلَٰغٞۚ فَهَلۡ يُهۡلَكُ إِلَّا ٱلۡقَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَٰسِقُونَ ٣٥ ﴿35
35So, (O prophet,) observe patience, as the resolute messengers observed patience, and be not in haste about them. The Day they will see what they are promised, (it will be) as if they did not stay (in the world) more than an hour in a single day. This is a message. So, none will be destroyed except the sinners.

And when it became known what evidence had been established and what decisive arguments had been presented that this is their outcome, it caused him to say in response to what came after the creation of the two horizons regarding the matter of the Messenger, blessings and peace be upon him, and their attribution of falsehood to him: ﴿So be patient﴾, meaning: in the hardships you see in conveying the message. Al-Qushayri said: Patience is standing by the command of Allah and steadfastness without complaint or coercion.

﴿As those of determination were patient﴾, meaning: determination in the matter and resolution in seriousness and the will that is certain and steadfastness that cannot be avoided, those who proceeded in the command of Allah as if they had sworn to it, becoming like lions in their nature and like a strong, brave man surrounded by his tribe. And for this reason, His saying caused it to be a message, adding to the conclusion of Ibrahim what is suitable for its beginning: ﴿So will they be destroyed﴾. It was built for the passive form from 'destroyed', because the feared thing is destruction, even if the destroyer is not specified. And for the indication that their destruction by Him, glorified and exalted is He, is very easy ﴿except the people﴾ who have the capability to carry out what they attempt from the obstinacy ﴿the wicked﴾ meaning: those who are entrenched in continuing to exit from the realm of what the guide of reason and the original nature calls to from obedience, which is brought by the transmission to the misleader of disobedience, which the transmission and reason prohibit. As for those who have committed wickedness and those who will commit wickedness, then the guide of this Surah leads them and brings them to the intended goal.
