وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُم بَيِّنَٰتٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَمۡرِۖ فَمَا ٱخۡتَلَفُوٓاْ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلۡعِلۡمُ بَغۡيَۢا بَيۡنَهُمۡۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقۡضِي بَيۡنَهُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَخۡتَلِفُونَ ١٧ ﴿17
17and We gave them clear proofs of the Matter (i.e. the religion). So they did not fall into disagreement out of mutual jealousy, but after the knowledge had come to them. Surely your Lord will judge between them, on the Day of Judgment, in the matters in which they used to differ.

And We gave them, along with that, clear signs of the matter revealed to their prophets, consisting of decisive evidence, rulings, and admonitions supported by miracles. This included the attributes of the prophets who would come after them, and other matters that are extremely clear to those whom We have decreed happiness for. And if this is not acceptable to a king, how would it be acceptable to the King of kings? And if this judgment is necessitated by wisdom, there is no difference in it between people, so it necessitates judgment between you as well. And to emphasize the promise of that day, it is expressed by the name of the Lord, added to him, blessings and peace be upon him.
