And when it was for the reminder of what is known, there is a great significance in the attraction or repulsion, even if it is less than what was likened [to it], he said: "Like the boiling" meaning: like the boiling of "the scalding water" meaning: the water whose heat has reached its peak by what is kindled beneath it. It remains as if it intends to rid itself of the heat it is in. Al-Tirmidhi reported - and he said: it is a good and authentic narration - and Al-Nasa'i, Ibn Majah, and Ibn Hibban in his authentic work, and Al-Hakim - and he said: it is authentic according to their conditions - from Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them, that the Prophet, blessings and peace be upon him, said: "If a drop of the Zaqqum were to fall in the world, it would corrupt the livelihoods of the people of the world. So how about the one whose food is this?"
