'In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful'
Surah Al-Dukhan
Its purpose is to warn of destruction for those who do not accept what is in the Noble and Wise Reminder of goodness and blessing, a mercy that He has made shared among His general creation. The name Al-Dukhan indicates this when one reflects on its verses, its expressions, and its signs. 'In the name of Allah,' the Sovereign, the Compeller, the One, the Subduer; 'the Most Gracious,' who has encompassed with the blessing of warning; 'the Most Merciful,' who has specifically granted His beloved ones the mercy of glad tidings.

When Surah Al-Zukhruf concluded with a hidden glad tidings and an apparent warning, and what He, glorified and exalted is He, had proclaimed as glad tidings of knowledge for the Arabs and their safety from the pitfalls of what they were in was unlikely, He began this with something similar, swearing by it, saying: ﴿And the Book﴾ [meaning] the one that encompasses all good ﴿the Clear﴾ meaning: the evident in itself, clarifying what has preceded of the subtle glad tidings for the people of purity and insight, clear in warning with explicit wording, and other than that of all that is intended from it. And for the sake of what was mentioned of the improbability, He affirmed the answer to the oath and brought it in a manifestation of greatness, saying:
