Commentary

And when he made this clear to them that there is no enmity between him, rather they will be in mutual affection to a greater extent than they were in the world due to what has become apparent to them of their mutual affection in it and their support for one another, it has led them to the everlasting success with the pleasure of Allah. He has connected them with a state in which He has made clear what He will receive them with in terms of affection, glorified is He, as an honor for them and a calming of what that station requires of horrors: ﴿O My servants﴾ meaning He is saying this to them, so He has specifically mentioned them as He has specified them with worship. ﴿No fear﴾ meaning in any way from the ways. ﴿Will be upon you today﴾ meaning in the Hereafter of what that great day encompasses of horrors and severe matters and earthquakes. ﴿Nor will you grieve﴾ meaning no sadness will renew for you over anything that has passed in a time of the coming times because nothing will be missed by you that you will be pleased with.
