And when it was as if it was said, what is it that deters us from the path of our Lord? He mentioned the reason as a warning in his saying: "Indeed, he is for you" meaning generally. And the news was confirmed because the actions of the followers of you are the actions of one who denies his enmity: "An open enemy" meaning clear in enmity within himself, calling out with it. And that is by his reaching the enmity of your father until he brought you down from the place of comfort to the place of hardship, an enmity arising from envy, and it will never cease.
