Commentary
So this leads to: There is no deity except the One who created me. He said: I have included in this interpretation your initial understanding that I derived from the report. They are the true knowledge that your nature has provided for him by means of reflection. He indicated by the description of creation the evidence of his belief, that is, the One who split existence and brought me forth from it. Then He split these senses and perceptions. Whoever possesses this remarkable ability is unique in greatness.
And when Allah, glorified and exalted is He, has bestowed after creation what He referred to from the intellect and the senses that prepare for guidance without request, it is fitting that He grants His seeker the greatest guidance. He said, causing the severance of connections with others, confirming for the one who denies his reaching a limit that his ancestors were blind to. Indeed, He will guide me, meaning guidance that is the guidance to what has become clear to me of the truths of all that rectifies me for my orientation towards Him and my reliance upon Him. There is no doubt in my belief in this. And He has provided by this, which is accompanied by the 's', His guidance in the future, after He has indicated by His words quoted in the poets: 'Indeed, He guides me.' The guidance is in the present, and it seems that He specified this with the 's' because of what follows it. Thus, He made their guidance His guidance.
