(p-376) Surah Al-Zukhruf. Its purpose is to give glad tidings of the elevation of this nation through intellect and wisdom, so that they may be the highest of nations in knowledge and what arises from it. This is significant because their guidance by a matter from the Divine is among the strangest of the strange, which is for the elite. It is in the second rank of strangeness. This matter is something they must have, even if their aversion to it and their turning away from it is intense. Indeed, it is a reminder for you and for your people, so that you may be worthy of Paradise, wherein there is what the souls desire and the eyes find delight, and you will remain in it forever. And it did not say: 'and they.' And this is indicated by its naming as Al-Zukhruf, due to what is in its verses, that if He had intended to encompass disbelief for all people, He would have encompassed them with the abundance of blessings. However, He did not encompass them with that, but rather differentiated between them, impoverishing some and increasing their misery and harm, and dispersing their affairs, so that it would be easy to turn them away from the disbelief to which their natures, desires, and deficiencies led them, by what they witness of the ugliness of oppression and aggression to what they see of the beauties of religion and faith, and the pleasure of submission to the Sovereign, the Just. (The Most Merciful) who accepts whom He wills to what brings him closer to Him, even if he reaches the farthest limit. * *﴿Ha-Mim﴾ The wisdom of Muhammad, which Allah revealed to him. And when he presented the end of that, he made what was revealed to him (blessings and peace be upon him) a light by which he guides whom He wills. And it had been established in the previous surah what he has of majesty, in that it is His revelation. And he concluded by stating that there is no matter that escapes from Him, glorified is He. This indicates that He turns them away from their misguidance, and they were plotting not to return. Thus, the situation necessitated the utmost emphasis. And Allah's swearing by things is a declaration of the majesty of what is in it of judgment and a reminder to reflect on what He has deposited in it of secrets that qualified it for swearing by it. He said: ﴿And the Book﴾ (p-378) meaning: and the miracle of this comprehensive book of all goodness and other types of its greatness. ﴿The Clear﴾ meaning: the evident in itself, clarifying all that is in it of greatness, laws, traditions, subtleties, knowledge, and blessings, in a great and sufficient clarification.
